My name is Svetlana Kostrykina, a Ph.D in Phylology, linguist, interpreter and a big fan of Tsaritsyn - Stalingrad - Volgograd. This book came about as a result of my 10-years of experience in battlefield tour guiding and my great passion for the city I was born in, the passion I want to share with you. 

    For years travellers I worked with were asking me the same question: if there was a travel guide in English to purchase - but there hasn't been any, so in 2013 I decided to quit my full-time job in a bank and to focus on The Ultimate guide to Stalingrad project. Two years later the first edition of the book was printed with a great support of my family who a lot of efforts in the project and became a really professional team in the process.
